About RD
There is power in choice choosing what one wants to do with his or her life; choosing how one will go about actualizing his or her dreams and Daniel Lauer, commonly known as “RD”, tapped into his power and has used it to fuel all of his dreams. With a dual passion for both music and business, it was only a matter of time before RD reached the intersection of the two and cemented his stake.
Born December 22, 1987 in Jacksonville, FL, RD’s love of music was present from a very early age. However, the expenses were too great at that time to acquire the equipment and tools needed to start down the path of pursuing it. That did not deter RD, though. His resourcefulness began to unveil itself, and he took it upon himself to learn as many of the skills that would be demanded in the music business as a way to compensate for not being able to purchase the equipment and tools he needed. That doggedness, coupled with the unwavering support of his parents, helped to reveal his innate entrepreneurial spirit.
While most of his middle and high school peers were enjoying sporting events, attending parties, and leisurely living, RD and his circle of friends were starting a business. They incorporated their business with the state of Florida in 2005, and RD graduated from high school in 2006.
He recalls, “In 1999, my friend had a computer program used to make beats called Fruity Loops Studio (now called FL Studio), and I fell in love with producing at the very moment I was introduced to it! It started out as a way to stay out of trouble, at least for me it was.“ He continues, “But we got serious with it and began using Protools before it was a household name with an Audio Media 3 card, and went on to start our legitimate business with the state in 2005. Mind you, we were still kids in middle and high school!”
That decision served as the catalyst that eventually birthed the multimedia powerhouse RD now owns RD MultiMedia LLC. Though producing is what initially captivated RD, it was only one of the skills he learned. Being a creative person and hard worker, RD went on to master audio engineering, music producing, graphic design, photography, and videography, all of which are available services under RD MultiMedia LLC.
Videography proved to be the accelerator to RD’s path, launching him into affiliations with some of Rap music’s current stars including Rick Ross’s Maybach Music Group (MMG), and some of the major media corporations like iHeart Media. “Filming has been a big part in my career,” RD says, “and being able to meet most of the people I know now,” which is significant considering such people include Lil’ Duval, former Nappy Boy Records artist Jay Lyriq & Tay Dizm, Legendary HipHop group 95 South, HipHop great DJ Maseo of De La Soul, Atlanta-based rapper Rocko, and more.
As RD continues to sharpen his skills and grow RD MultiMedia LLC even further, it is with no uncertainty that he will continue to be successful. Wherever hard work, determination, passion, and resourcefulness lie, there is bound to be a positive result. There is bound to power. RD is proof of just that.
